My goal is to build an entirely free community that is accessible to ALL learners.
Everyone deserves to feel safe around numbers.
I’d like to introduce you to my 4 Brain Seeds.
Plant them, water them, and watch them grow.

What’s Bob Ross Got To Do With It?

As a child, I would set up my paints, break out my easel,
and follow along as Bob Ross explored The Joy of Painting.
Throughout my life,
I have returned to the wisdom shared in that show.
Here’ are a few of my favorite Bob Ross quotes,
along with how I apply them in my classroom.
“We don’t make mistakes. We make happy accidents.”
Some of the best learning moments in my classroom happen when students make errors.
The process of learning is just making different mistakes until you remember enough of them.
“Talent is a pursued interest.”
There is no such thing as a Math Person.
You can do math if you enjoy it enough to spend time doing it.
“It’s important to do something every day that will make you happy.”
If you’re not enjoying what you are learning, why bother?
Life is short – search for the joy, even in math class.
